Ondlovu are the same people as the Akan people of Ghana called Nzima. The Nxele clan comes from the Xesibe, who in turn came from the Akan of Ghana. Who were also part of the Mali Empire that gave birth to basically all the tribes in South Africa, even though, some had come to South Africa through slaver or release from slavery. That’s part of the reason why most people do not know history beyond King Shaka. The other 2 reasons are that when Shaka created the Gaada/nkatha it, by construct, deleted all history that did not agree with it. White people did the rest.

The people are called Nzema or Nzima. It all started when God showed me that Sikhakhane was actually Sikh Akane, then I started noticing that Sikhosana is Sikh Osana or Sigujana = Sikh Ujana (Young in Swahili) or Nzimase, Nzima, Jili, Vilakazi, Nzimande, Mqhele, Nqele, Nxele, Ndlovu, Mthethwa, Nzimakwe, Xesibe etc. Most are Pondo-Zulu but I am sure ALL South African tribes have these peeps. Critically the Kwena also go by Gona (and Ngwenya) – There is an Agona clan (uPholi or iskwenene is the totem) in Akan, Asona (Ihagu lasendle – izinkumbi zasendle) as in Ntsonatsatsi or Nsona people of South Africa amongst Zulus and Sothos, Bretuo (Beretuo or Bhele/Bele Thuwo clan – Ngwe or Ngo or Leopard clan), Ekuona – Buffalo clan – Nyathi, etc.

They lived in Tete before the Portuguese took over Tete (is it not interesting that Xhosa people say bayathetha ekubeni they lived in Tete) from them and effectively chased them back to KZN. Then in general, the known history starts. The question is, how did they get to Mozambique? When did they leave Kikongo (Angola-Gabon-DRC-Cameroon)? Ghana empire was destroyed around 1200, Mali Empire was destroyed around 1400 by the Portuguese, I think. Then Kongo was up and running by the 1450s, then destroyed in 1600s and then there was a ndebele overrun of all Major cities of Africa. Until King Shaka, they were all run by Ndebeles Bakalanga, bagaseleka and Shumayela or Ishmaelite Ndebeles. Ishmael = Yeshumayela = God speaks. I believe I have traced our ancestors through a tough 3,000 year journey. It’s not an easy tale.
