Why was Mkabayi banished?
Mkabayi kaJama was banished at the age of 89 after the ascension of Mpande kaSenzangakhona, who defeated Dingane, her nephew. Despite her significant contributions to the Zulu Kingdom and her role as a kingmaker, her political maneuvering led to her being seen as a threat by the new king.
