What is Bahlakoana history
I was informed that there were two rival kings or chiefs. The subjects of the allegedly cruel chief sought refuge from the supposedly kind rival.
On enquiry during introduction/request they said they come from – “re tlha koa” – we are from there! Response “oh! Netlha kwa!”
Sorry, my Sotho is limited.
Therefore anyone seeking “asylum” (doesn’t know their lineage) is welcome. This was the reason I was given for someone who adopted his brothers surname & clan name.
