Mattaniah or Matthan is a name of Hebrew origin, meaning “gift of God” or “gift from Yahweh.” Mattaniah was the original name of King Zedekiah of Judah in the Bible. Matthan is mentioned in the genealogy of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew.
