MOLELE ORIGIN & BRIEF HISTORY
Molele, we are the same group, with others, came from Botswana together with Leboho and settled in the now called Blouberg mountains. Nevertheless, Leboho was in Hananoa ours was Bubeng.
[Ga geno kae! Re ba Molele wa Masilu, re boya Bubeng, re ila sehlare sa ngaka ka gobane dithebele kamoka re a ditseba,Le ge ba re moreku ao ithekole, mpiletΕ‘eng Madibana a bolele le Molele wa masilu gore ngwana ngaka wa lwala,
Wena o yago bubeng o se reme sehlare sa motswetΕ‘i]
The other groups scattered around parts of Blouberg, we have other Molele in Botlokwa, Mokopane, Moletjie, Molele in Zeerust are also our other group but came to South Africa from Botswana at a different epochs compared to us the Blouberg group.
The other group that reached far North east, Phalaborwa through Moeketsi and they were colonised by Malatji – they changed their totem, as dinoko and Moleles re ditau (lions). Plenty of them are in Tzaneen now.
Similarly, others who happen to be on the other side of Vivo through Sesele/Blinkwater had to be in Makhado territory and later became βMuleleβ as Vendas dominated them.
Molele – surname
Ga Molele – village
Ga MmaMolele – second village
Ga Moleele, – Overdyk. It has nothing to do with Ga Molele and Ga MmaMolele. Overdyk was just few groups who encroached on a piece of our land. The German missionary from Bochum, Frans and his wife Helene settled on our land (Lephereng) part of Ga MmaMolele was taken by the subjects (Overdyk people) of respected missionaries in Bochum (remote town named by him). Helene Franz is the land belonging to Molele from Ga Molele and Ga MmaMolele. There is also a hospital now known as Helene Franz. Our land is now a state owned land.
Ga Molele is not Schoerlen farm β
Ga MmaMolele is not Werden Farm β
We have Ga Molele, Ga MmaMolele/ Lephereng.
