” The real bapedi are Balobedu. BALOBEDU are situated at the Eastern part of Limpopo and the rain from the side of bolobedu we call it Bopedi. They are Bakgalaka of Mpedzi(Mpedi) , Vhambedzi ( bapedi). They are Warthogs of Loude( Bakwebo) and amongst them the are Banyai of which they originate from the same ancestry. Bambedzi of great elephants Tabane of Kgatla. Batlokwa originate from Tabane but on their migration from bokhalaka they crossed River that was known to them as Nokana ya bokhalaka.

Every clan has its own identity and  Dialects that formed standard language that used to be called Sesotho sa lebowa by board of languages and during the regime of Zuma parliament decided to call it Sepedi.
