John Mngoma (Zulu Historian)
Renowned Zulu orator and historian, well versed in Zulu history and oral traditions. He was a close friend of Nelson Mandela during Mandela’s time in Johannesburg in the early 1940s. Mngoma would spend hours relating historical episodes from the Zulu past to Mandela, preserving and transmitting royal history through oral tradition.
