Royalty from Hlengwe last name

Nyaka Kingdom (c. 14th Century)
Ancient kingdom located along the northern coast of present-day KwaZulu-Natal up to the present-day Mozambican capital city of Maputo. The Nyaka kingdom is believed to have been in existence by around the end of the 14th century. The Hlengwe people trace their origins to this kingdom, with “Hlengwe” meaning wealth. The kingdom served as the ancestral foundation for the Hlengwe people who would later spread across four SADC countries: Mozambique, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Swaziland.
Chauke Clan (Ruling Class)
The ruling class of the Hlengwe society, with nzilo (fire) as their totem and humba (snail). This clan is still in leadership today. They were Tsonga-speaking and formed the aristocratic foundation of Hlengwe social structure, followed by the Hlungwana or Sono of the Tihlanga (reeds) totem.
Chief Xigombe (1750-1850s)
Leader of the Matsena Hlengwe who led his people from Mozambique to infiltrate along the Nuanetsi and Chengane/Chefu rivers, forcefully occupying areas between 1750-1850s. Other Hlengwe chiefs separated from Xigombe and settled in the Chiredzi, Sangwe, and Ndanga areas. These were Sengwe, Tshovani, and Chitsa.
