Dolamo originate from a Swati tribe(KaNgwane) then Bapela.Previosly were known as Tseka or kgatuke at GaMasemola.
Their Totem animal lion(Batau)
Tseka with Matlejoane left GaMasemola during the wars. Together they settled at a place now known as Ga-Marishane.
There Matlejoane changed his surname to Marishane and Tseka changed to Dolamo.
Dolamo means muti for royal family (ingoma).They being nearer the Pedis their language was influenced by them.
