Usinga / Lusinga / Lesinga/ Risinga was a clan under Gasa Zikode, later ruled by Soshangana Nxumalo, as the Founder and the Monarch of the Gaza Empire, which at the height of its power stretched from the Limpopo river in southern Mozambique up to the Zambezi river in the north.
The uSinga clan consist of various types of people with different languages, Nguni, Sotho-Tswana, Tsonga, and Venda. This clan intermingled with the Mdau as they were residing at Mozambique.
