Usinga , Lusinga , Lesinga , Lisinga , Risinga Clan Izithakazeko

USinga formed part of the Soshangana Ka Gasa Zikode, born Soshangana Nxumalo, was the Founder and the Monarch of the Gaza Empire, which at the height of its power stretched from the Limpopo river in southern Mozambique up to the Zambezi river in the north.

The Usinga consist of various type of people with different languages, from Nguni (Ndebele, Swati and Zulu), Sotho-Tswana, Tsonga and Venda. The uSinga or amaSinga intermingled with the Mdau/ Mdawu clan that practiced spiritual beliefs or traditional medicine (iinyanga / ubunyanga). The clan spread acrossed nations.

~Kokela = “Isinga le Nyanga” from amaNdebele kaManala (Mabena) tribe, which came from the Sotho group amongst the Mdau /Mtau of uSinga. He gained the title of being a Ndebele as he was a Strongest tradition healer kwaMabena royal palace, Kokela had special prowess to heal and help amaNala to be victories during mfencane. Kokela married the king’s daughter, his descendents where now Ndebele. “Nyange komo, Mkhubezitha”

~Lusenga = “Lusinga lwaNgwane” from the Swati, also known to be Lusenga. Others say that he he came from Lesotho. Ngwana clan intermingled with the Mdau, ngwato the ba-tau, then later some of the descendents of changed to Nkwane (Bapedi).

~Tshandzale = “Risinga xanyagavila xa mangondzwana” from the Tsonga tribe.

~”Lusinga” from the Zulu tribe, who were found amongst amaNtungwa ka Mzilikazi.
