LA Masangwana
i believe there is a whole confusion as to whether Luf’ulwenja gave birth to Wushwe and Zelem? Which would have meant that Wushwe and Zelem are cousins, how can we then conclude that the two are not related?
Themba Mjoli
It seems both Wushe and Zelemu were brothers tracing their ancestory to Malandela Qwabe. Then Mjoli and Khalimeshe were born living separately until circa 1730’s when they united in the face of threatening from the other smaller kingdoms.
Together, with a few other clans ( who now form a significant part yamaBhaca) they loved South until reaching EThekwini, where Khalimeshe died leaving Madzikane, one of many sons to lead (remember, Madziksne grew up in Swaziland, hence, ukutsefula). He led right up to Ixobho with some crossing Mzimkhulu river for greener pastures, buying farms in Kromhoek from Madonela right up to Matatiele and Mt Frere. To date the Makaula’s and Dabula’s call me cousin.
It seems ubuhlobo died out somewhat because the Queen mother of the Dziko ‘kingdom’ is MaMjoli. The same with the Khalimeshe side at Ixopho- the mother is Mamjoli. Can anyone explain to me?
