Umlando wakwa Mgabhi history and origin

Mgabhi was changed to Sidu in the 1800’s during the times of Shaka because Mgabhi passed and his second wife took over as queen because there was a young baby boy who was still young so they had to wait for him to grow up…while he was growing up and the second wife was queen the coloniser forced them to be under SIDU(colonisers surname) even when the first ever passport was created they went down as SIDU’s and not MGABHI and now MGABHI wants his people to have his Surname

Even Today the Sidu’s have ubukhosi but its Mgabhi’s, it’s just that its known as ubukhosi bakwaSidu when its supposed to be Ubukhosi bakwaMgabhi even kings after Mgabhi took it as ubukhosi bakwaSidu without knowing its ubukhosi bakwaMgabhi, The Sidu’s are Mgabhi’s, Sidu was the colonisers surname.

Ukuze kuthiwa bangabakwaMchunu nje kungoba bedatshulwa nguMchunu, indoda eyayiphila ngezikhathi zoMalandela, kodwa thina sibathathe kuMavovo owazala uNyanda.

Ukwelamana kwabakwaMchunu, UMavovo uzale uNyanda owazala uLubhoko (Dubandlela) ULubhoko wazala amadodana amaningi amanye wawo abalwawo uJama, uMajola, uDladlama, uNtube, uNontshinga, uNcasanga, uNgqulunga noGama wakwaMchunu.
uJama ufakwa ekuthakazelweni ebongwa Ngokuzala intsizwa uMacingwane (waseNgonyameni) eyaba neqaza elikhulu eMachunwini. uMacingwane wazala uNtsundu, uMfusi, uGandeduze, uNdabezimbi. uMqanyana, uPhezulu, uNyoni kanye NoPhakade.

Okwathi esekuzwa lokhu omunye uMavovo, wahlomisa impi ukuba iyolanda lentombi Nangempela yalandwa, yalethwa kuMavovo wakwaMkhize.
Izintombi zaseMachunu azigani kwaMajola nakwaNdlela ngoba laba baphuma khona emaChunwini. Mcumane, Ndawonde ezinye izibongo ezibalwayo ukuthi ziyadlelana nabaseMachunwini kodwa kune Nkulumo mpikiswano ngalokho.
AbaseMachunwini bazalana nabakwaNdlela, Ndima Lembede. Kuhambe kwahamba abantu bakwaNdlela sebebuswa nguLembede baxabana nabakwaMchunu. KwaMchunu kwase kubusa uLubhoko.
Baze basuka bayokwa kwaNtabankulu ngaseMthonjeni weMfolozi emnyama, besuka eSikhaleni Sebomvu. Ngesikhathi abantu bakaLembede bebalekela uLubhoko.
uLembede wasala esebulewe base babekisa ngesihlahla esithize ukuthi wangcwatshwa kuphi. Leso sihlahla kuze kube namuhla kuthiwa yisihlahla sikaLembede.

Ngesikhathi sokubusa kukaDingiswayo kwaMthethwa yilapho isizwe sakwaMchunu sagqama khona kuze kufike esikhathi sokubusa kweLembe (uShaka). Isizwe sakwaMchunu ngaleso sikhathi sabe sibuswa nguMacingwane. Umuzi kaMacingwane wawuphezulu kweThala echaza ukuthi uyiNkosi enkulu ngaphezu kwawo wonke amakhosi akhelane nawo.
uMacingwane wakha ihlalankosi aliqamba ngokuthi kuseNgonyameni, Ngakho wayezibiza nguBhubesi loqobo Lokhu yikho okwamfakela esikhulu isigcwagcwa kuDingiswayo kanye noShaka.

Phela ngaleso sikhathi uDingiswayo wayeqala umsebenzi wokuhlasela izizwe, ayezinqoba zaziba ngaphansi kombuso wakhe.

Royalty from Mchunu last name

Chief Bhambatha kaMancinza (c.1865-1906?)
King of the amaZondi clan in the Colony of Natal and son of Mancinza. Born in 1865 in Mpanza, near the town of Greytown, Natal Colony. He was one of 10,000 Zulu warriors to guard King Shaka Zulu’s mother’s grave for a year and trained under strict Zulu Impi discipline. He is famous for leading an armed rebellion in 1906 when the poll tax was raised from a tax per hut to per head (£1 tax on all native men older than 18 – infamously called ukhandampondo), increasing hardship during a severe economic depression. Bhambatha claimed he was told to lead the rebellion by the de facto Zulu King Dinizulu. When the Natal Police sent about 150 men to arrest him, his forces ambushed them and killed four policemen. Thousands of colonial troops were sent after him, including cavalry and heavy artillery, leading to 3,500 casualties. While the British government claimed Bhambatha was killed in the Battle of Mome Gorge, it is commonly believed among the Zulu people that he fled and eventually settled in Mozambique. He is remembered as an inspiration to South Africans during the anti-apartheid movement.

Inkosi Simakade Mchunu (1924-2015)
Reigning Traditional Leader of the Mchunu clan from 1944 until his death in 2015 at the age of 91. He ruled over the Msinga and Greytown areas in KwaZulu-Natal for 71 years. He was described as an inimitable leader who played a pivotal role in bringing peace and stability to the Msinga region, which had become notorious for faction fighting. President Jacob Zuma extended condolences to the Mchunu clan on behalf of the government and people of South Africa, honoring his legacy as a traditional leader.
Sipho Mchunu (Musician)
Zulu musician and guitar player who formed the legendary band Juluka with Johnny Clegg in the 1970s. Born and raised in Zululand, he met Clegg when the young Clegg would secretly visit townships to learn Zulu music and dance. Their partnership produced a blend of traditional Zulu and pop music, creating the band Juluka (meaning “sweat” in Zulu). Despite apartheid laws forbidding mixed-race public performances, they pushed boundaries and became wildly popular. After Juluka split in 1985, Mchunu returned home to pursue cattle farming. He briefly reunited with Clegg for the album “Ya Vuka Inkunzi.” His collaboration with Clegg is remembered as a pioneering moment in South African music history, bridging cultural divides through the power of music.

Umlando woNtini base Zimbabwe

In 1600s there was Ntini who gave birth to a number of males named Lungwase, Mafu, Mphethela, Simula, Mshukiweskhumba they are all under DNA of the man Ntini. Without trace of their martenals I continued the search. There’s a link with Ndlovus.

UMshuki (died 1721) wazala ikhehla elazala uSihwanda, it was a huge family from a polygamous family. Lelikhehla 1719 to 18122 (Ntini) they joined Mzilikazi’s march with his boys (that time, they were in their 20s) that’s Sihwanda and Dema, this man I named Ntini died on their way to the North, the location is Petersburg (Bulungwane/Polokwane area) his grave is there since1822.

Sihwanda and Dema continued fatherless now with Mzilikazi’s march until Matopo where Mzilikazi built his kraal.

ULembe wayemude eyisidlakela. ULembe ekuphileni kwakhe wayesebekwa njengomholi wabantu bakwa Ndima ngenxa yokwaziwa nobuqhawe. Ekuhambeni kwesikhathi uLembe waphambaniselwa ngoba wayengenela izibaya zabantu. Wagcina engasalawuleki, futhi engasathathi iziluleko zamuntu ekwenzeni kwakhe. Kwabakhona ukungabaza ebantwini bakwaNdima noMyaka ngoLembe bahlukana phakathi ngaye.

Ekukhuleni kukaShaka wabulawa uLembe ngokumakhela uzungu lokumjuma bambulale njengoba wayesefana nesilwane. UShaka waze wathatha igama lakhe lokuthi nguye uLembe. Abantu basebembuza ukuthi pho lo ombulele sothi ungubani ngoba igama lakhe lohlezi likhunjula? Wayesethi kothiwa nguLembe omude, ethokozile uShaka.
