Married to Princess Magogo kaDinuzulu, daughter of King Solomon kaDinizulu, directly connecting the Buthelezi clan to King Shaka through maternal lineage.
Appointed in 1954 in KwaDukuza at the unveiling of King Shaka’s tombstone. Son of Chief Mathole Buthelezi and Princess Magogo kaDinuzulu, with maternal lineage directly connecting him to King Shaka. Played crucial role in installing King Misuzulu and navigating royal succession disputes. His death in 2023 at age 95 marked the end of an era in Zulu royal history.

Princess Constance Magogo Sibilile Ngangezinye Thombisile ka Dinuzulu married him to give birth to your Grandfather uMntwana waKwaPhindangene: your Father’s Dad.
