According to my knowledge, Vhanyai was the first real King of Vhavenda clan. After the death of vendani’s father, vendani’s family wanted to take over the kingship because he was young. Vendani’s father taught Vendani how to be a magician. During the fight Vendani left with his followers. On his way somebody followed him and informed him that they are going to kill him. Through his magic he managed to kill two people. At night he dreamed being told to make Ngomalungundu with the skin of the people that he killed. He was told that he must use the skin of his enemies to protect himself and his people from the enemies. He changed his identity from Vendani to Munyai. He took Mu – Muyendi (Mutshimbili / walker) and he swop the rest of alphabet to make nyai.
Munyai is the first Prince of Thovhele and Mungona Shiriyadenga, The King and Queen of Vhangona. The Kingdom of Maphungubwe known as the Former Capital city of South Africa
