What did the British do to Cetshwayo?

The British captured King Cetshwayo after their victory in the Anglo-Zulu War and exiled him to Cape Town and then to London. They sought to undermine his authority and dismantle the Zulu Kingdom by partitioning its territory among rival factions. Cetshwayo’s capture and subsequent exile were part of a broader strategy to assert British control over Zululand and diminish the power of the Zulu people.
