The Modime Clan is a clan ancestrally originated from Botswana, but as time went on from the 18th to the 20th century(3 generations) they were scattered around North west and Limpopo(Ga Matlala,gaMaleboho ,Stuiloop and the northern part of South Africa) as more Botswana natives fled to RSA for greener pastures.
And some of the clan members saw it fit to head north to places like Congo and Zambia due to the native wars and the quest for better environment.
The clans totum is the Baboon( Tshwene) and they regard themselves as babinaTshwene because they’re ancestral sitting was along the mountainous terrains of Botswana .
